Do All You Can
This project that unites the community; the churches, university, merchants, offices and individuals. We serve every Thursday night from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Center of Grace, who has generously offer their facility for our need at 520 S Harrison St., Olathe Our goal is to serve those who show up a fine dinner and to treat them as our guest. Avoiding serving lines will promote dignity and encourage conversation and interaction. We want to recognize them as part of our community.
Volunteer and financial support will make this program a reality. The program is projected to cost around $250.00 a week to serve roughly 200 people each week. We expect between 20 to 25 volunteers will be needed each week. Ideally, participating organizations will provide both volunteers and financial support for the week (s) they sign up. We are soliciting donations from our larger community to have funds in reserve for the weeks an organization can volunteer, but doesn't have the budget for the meal cost. Donations may be made to AHH - Johnson County Food Ministry.
